The walking tour was so much fun.

Plan your visit for the 1st Saturday of the month so you can join the guided tour. The area is stunningly beautiful. The science is amazing. Everyone was wonderfully nice and happy to answer our millions of questions. Have your route home planned, we didn't go back the way we came and had a bit of an adventure with no cell signal for an hour so no Google maps. But even that turned out to be a great time and beautiful drive.

This is radio-telescopy at its best. It picks up nuances that visual scopes miss. Do yourself a favor and learn something about astronomy before going there.

I definitely recommend visiting.

Amazing technology doing important work. As is mentioned on a poster in the visitor center... Attempting to foster a scientifically literate society.

Loing drive out here but worth it to get some perspective. Go ahead and watch the 20 minute movie; you'll have a better appreciation for what you're seeing here. Friendly staff. Great little souvenir shop.

Sadly the gift shop was closed when we visited, but that just gives us a reason to go back again.
